The house is located in the south of the island of Idö, which is located about 300 kilometers south of the capital Stockholm. It spreads before Västervik on about 3 square kilometers. The island Idö is connected in the summer by ship lines with the mainland.

Most of the smaller islands off Västervik are uninhabited. Sailors and other water sportsmen head for the bays and experience the pure loneliness at the picnic on the archipelago rocks.

The holiday home is located directly on the Baltic Sea and can accommodate up to 6 people.

On the doorstep is a wooden veranda facing south on the open Baltic Sea.

The living space is divided into a living / dining / kitchen area, a small bedroom with built-in bunk beds:

Sleeping area below 2,20m x 2m and above 0,90m x 2m

The bathroom consists of a sink (hot / cold water), toilet and a hot shower. The hot water boiler is located in a frost-proof extension in the rear exterior of the house. Thus, a house use is ensured even in winter.

The entire living space can be heated by electric radiators.

The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, as well as 2 hobs and a sink. The kitchen equipment includes a coffee maker, toaster, pots, cutlery and crockery.

Very popular with children is the sleeping loft with 2 sleeping places (0,90m x 2m). The sleeping loft can be reached through an open rise from the living / dining area. In the rear area there is a window for ventilation.

Renters who arrive with their own boat have their own boat place in the harbor Idö for the duration of the stay available. By agreement, there is also a boat dock in the harbor Solstadström available.

In the immediate vicinity of the house is a harbor with adjoining cafe and restaurant with very good kitchen.

So if you do not want to cook yourself, the restaurant serves both national and international dishes.

The harbor café with its large sun terrace invites guests for coffee, cake and snacks. There is also a clothes shop with accessories and souvenirs and a small assortment for self-catering. With a well-organized delivery service, fresh food can be ordered from a mainland supermarket. The delivery takes place the next day.

The multiple daily ferry from Idö to Västervik provides a permanent connection to the mainland.

The small neighboring island can be reached via a bridge and invites you to explore on small roads. Again and again you will find idyllic swimming and sunbathing spots in the area.

From the old lighthouse you have a wonderful panoramic view of the island and the archipelago.

The former fishing village with its old boat garages also invites you to explore.
